The Ancient Spanish Monastery was built in northern Spain in the twelfth century and inhabited by Cistercian monks for nearly 700 years. In 1925, it was purchased, dismantled and shipped to the United States. After passing through several hands, the monastery was rebuilt in North Miami Beach, where it now stands as an Episcopal church.

Depending on size, ceremonies can be held in one of the monastery’s three enchanting chapels or outside in the formal gardens with the Romanesque Gothic building as a backdrop. The estate offers five outdoor wedding spaces: The Loggia, Prayer Well, Banyan Tree, Saviour Garden and St. John Garden. Receptions are typically held in the covered passageways that surround the open courtyard, otherwise known as The Cloisters.

The location welcomes unions of all types, including traditional, contemporary, nondenominational, interfaith and civil.
