The couple became engaged in San Francisco, prior to embarking on a weekend trip to Napa. It was "absolutely magnificent."
They are to be married in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the Plymouth Congregational Church, followed by a reception at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
The couple will reside in Chicago, Illinois.
