Emily Reisinger and Cory Franklin of Tampa, Florida, were married on March 24, 2012.
The ceremony took place at Christ The King Chapel in Tampa, Florida, followed by a reception at the Maestro’s At The Straz Performing Arts Center also in Tampa. Father Len Plazewski performed the ceremony.
The bride has her A.S. for Pre-Nursing from Hillsborough Community College and her CNS/PCT from Brewster Technical School. She works as an Oncology Technician at Moffitt Cancer Center. She is the daughter of John and Susan Reisinger.
The groom attended Hillsborough Community College. He works for Delta Airlines Groundcrew. He is the son of Gary and Nora Franklin.
The couple met during Halloween night in high school. Even though they knew one another, were assigned in the same Sports Team class and attended the same events, it was not until two years later that Cory asked Emily out and they went on their very first date.
Emily and Cory got engaged during a six-year anniversary vacation to St. Thomas. The vacation almost did not happen due to a tropical storm warning but the couple was determined to still go, and luckily the weather cleared up. Cory popped the question while the couple relaxed on their hotel hammock after a romantic evening dinning out, eating chocolate cake and watching the full moon. After many exciting questions upon seeing the ring box, Cory was finally able to ask, “Emily, will you marry me.”
The couple will reside in Riverview, Florida
