When and how did you meet? March 2009 at a bar in Fort Lauderdale. He came up to me and gave me a hug, thinking I was someone else. After he realized I was not the person who he thought I was, we started talking and he got my number.

How long did you date before getting engaged? Four years.

How did the proposal go down? It happened on March 5, 2015. It was a random Thursday night after I came home from work. I walked in our apartment and he was already down on one knee waiting for me. Rose petals and candles were scattered around. And he caught everything on camera!

What made you choose your wedding venue? We wanted a small wedding, and Marriott Pompano Beach had everything to offer. It’s more of a boutique hotel and it’s brand new. Being right on the beach was also a bonus for our out-of-town guests.

What were some of your favorite decorative touches of the day? My favorite was the centerpieces! But overall, I love how everything came together. I didn’t have a wedding planner to make sure everything matched before the big day.

What was your favorite part of your the day overall? Finally saying “I do!” Also, the rap song our best man and matron of honor performed for their toast. It was awesome!
