Pantone recently announced its Color of the Year for 2015: Marsala, a chewy, wine-saturated hue that pairs perfectly with a host of earth-favoring, spring shades, from cool and citrusy stains to a mashup of subtle to vibrantly tropical blues.
Whether teamed up or singled out, marsala adds an opulent cast to any celebration, especially outdoorsy ones.
As 2014’s radiant orchid emanated joy, love and health, marsala offers a dose of introspection. “Marsala is a daringly inviting tone that nurtures,” says Pantone. “It exudes confidence and stability while feeding the body, mind and soul.”
