Often, when we look back at our parents’ wedding albums, it’s all we can do to stifle our snickers at the sight of outdated dresses (puffy sleeves!), tuxes (ruffled shirts!), and hairdos (Farrah-inspired flyaways!). But that wasn’t the case for Tiffany and Chris McCasland, who, for their New Year’s Day wedding at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa, chose to have a déjà vu soiree that replicated Tiffany’s parents’ own wedding from 36 years prior. Although Tiffany and Chris didn’t exactly copy her parents’ down-the-aisle style, the couple drew inspiration from nearly every other facet of the day.
Tiffany and Chris were married on the same day and in the same hotel that Tiffany’s parents chose (it was then known as the King Neptune Hotel), and they even had their first look on the exact same balcony where Tiffany’s parents said “I do.” Boca Raton-based photographer Michael Wright recreated a few signature shots from Tiffany’s parents’ wedding, and after the shoot, the couple celebrated with family in the outdoor reception area at Marriott Pompano Beach.
