If you’re considering getting married in Miami, you’ll soon have two more reasons to say “yes” to South Florida’s most exciting city.
On May 23, one of the restaurant world’s most buzzed-about beachfront eateries—Parador La Huella in Jose Ignacio, Uruguay—will open its second location, right here in Florida. The new outpost, called Quinto La Huella, is located on the fifth floor of the soon-to-open EAST, Miami hotel, which is making news of its own as Swire Hotels’ first property in the United States.
The original La Huella is known for its parrilla (open-fire) style of cooking and its gloriously fresh seafood—plus its barefoot-chic setting—and we hear that Executive Chef Nano Crespo, who will oversee the new location’s kitchen, will stay true to the restaurant’s roots. Standout dishes will include Entrecot (rib eye) and Arroz Negro (squid ink and shrimp rice). Pre-wedding cocktail party or rehearsal dinner, anyone?
On May 31, EAST, Miami will open its doors with 352 guest rooms, eight suites, and 89 one-, two- and three-bedroom residence suites. Features will include keyless entry, paperless check-in and check-out, and a native app that guests can rely on for locally curated insights and travel tips, art exhibits, health and wellness programs, and other area happenings. Hint: It’s a helpful, handy tool for wedding guests who book a stay at the hotel.
