Melissa Teichman and Viet Ho

Melissa Teichman and Viet Ho’s glamorous Tampa Museum of Art wedding was full of red, black and white details.

The classic meets modern celebration showcased the couple’s individuality and taste. “We strived to capture their personality and style through every detail of the wedding,” says planner Cindy Stonehouse.

Melissa and Viet’s beautiful ceremony was held at the stunning Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa.

The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier wedding gown with glitter Kate Spade bridal shoes. Her bouquet consisted of red roses, and the stem was accented with the jewels from her wedding dress as well as a special brooch. The groom wore custom Florida Gator cufflinks with a classic black tuxedo. Melissa purchased a special brooch for each of her bridesmaids that they attached to their gowns.

Being from Pittsburgh, Melissa wanted to incorporate a cookie table into her reception. Several of her close friends and family members baked the cookies themselves, and it was a wonderful tradition that she was able to share with her guests. The groom’s cake, a Florida Gator dressed in a tuxedo, kept a close watch on the table.

Each table number represented a special memory or fact about the couple. For example, Table 9 represented the number of bridal shops Melissa and her mother went to until they found the perfect gown.

Centerpieces of beautiful phalenopsis orchids, roses and hydrangeas brightened a fun combination of round and long tables.

Guests enjoyed food stations consisting of Vietnamese chicken and pumpkin soup, grilled mahi with lemon basil butter sauce, smoked paprika roast sirloin steak with sherry cumin rioja jus, and orchietta pasta with ratatouille ricata salata while listening to the acoustic sounds of Busted Blues. Their elegant four-tier wedding cake sat on a stand covered in diamonds.

As Melissa and Viet made a sparkling exit, a surprise firework display began behind them.
