Aimett and Juan met 15 years ago while working at AMC Movie Theatres, but, as happens for many couples, their road to happily ever after wasn’t a straight and smooth one. “We dated for several years before going our separate ways,” says Aimett. “As in all true love stories, love conquered time and distance to reunite us and give us our happily ever after.”
For their 2014 wedding, Aimett and Juan decided on a New Year’s Eve celebration at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, with their guests dressed to the nines in party-ready evening wear. Aimett chose a strapless, ruched Mori Lee By Madeline Gardner mermaid gown with a sweetheart neckline and appliqué detailing, and she finished her glamorous look with metallic Jimmy Choo heels and bold red lips.
Aimett and Juan exchanged vows in an outdoor evening ceremony, after which they and their guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and a sit-down, three-course dinner featuring citrusy watercress and arugula salads with goat cheese tarts; grilled Angus beef filets; and an amaretto wedding cake with vanilla mousseline and fresh strawberry filling, all of which was prepared by the Four Seasons on-site catering team. The new husband and wife shared their first dance to “When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady Antebellum before welcoming friends and family to the floor to dance the night away and ring in the new year.
“My favorite detail of the night was our balloon drop at midnight,” says Aimett of the special celebratory touch added by the couple’s wedding planner, Très Chic Southern Weddings. “Our wedding planner was our fairy godmother, taking all of the details from a dream to reality.”
After a romantic honeymoon in Paris, Aimett and Juan returned home to Orlando to begin their new adventure as husband and wife.
