Susan Browning and Jeremy Stieglitz

Susan Browning had an inkling her beau, Jeremy Stieglitz, was going to propose during their Christmas trip to New York City.
Weeks prior, she had been innocently logging out of Jeremy’s e-mail account to check her own when she was bombarded by engagement ring ads.

“You know the ads on the side of Gmail?” Susan asks. “They’re always relevant to whatever you recently Googled.”

The day after Christmas, Susan and Jeremy made plans to go ice skating at Rockefeller Center but arrived to an overwhelming crowd. Susan refused to get on the ice, oblivious to Jeremy’s panicked expression. She found out later he originally planned to propose on the rink.

Instead, the couple headed to Rockefeller Center’s souvenir photo station. During the very last pose, Jeremy got down on one knee.

“There’s a bunch of photos of me just falling over with surprise,” Susan says. “It was even better because we’ll have them to remember forever.”

Their wedding’s theme, floral antiquated elegance, came from a combination of the couple’s preferences. Susan is fond of vintage, antique and retro items, and Jeremy was adamant about having an outdoor wedding—one that couldn’t be dated because of a building’s architecture.

“We wanted it to be timeless and very elegant without necessarily pegging it to one thing or another,” Susan explains.
