Toni and Colby couldn’t wait to add their personal touches to the Powel Crosley Estate’s Mediterranean architecture.
On the day of the wedding, Toni was thrilled to see a year’s worth of planning and preparation come together so beautifully. But it was the guests—not the decor—who made the night so special. “Each person who attended had at some point affected our lives individually and came together from around the world to be in one spot to honor Colby and me,” Toni says. “It was an amazing, humbling feeling that we’ll never forget.”
How the couple met: “In November 2009, Toni went to visit her friend at UF and go to a football game. After celebrating a victory, they went to a bar called Grog House. It wasn’t but an hour or so later when Toni noticed a really cute guy across the room. They exchanged a smile and eventually both made their way to the dance floor. Colby saw her approaching and made his infamous opening line: ‘Hi there, your drink looks like it could use a Koozie.’ After handing her the one off his drink, they talked and danced the night away. The next day Colby called Toni asking her on a date to a Japanese steakhouse in Gainesville. She said yes. They shared many laughs and easy conversation, like they had known each other for years.”
